Brief introduction of Chu Dading
Chu Dading, also known as the Foundry Dading, was unearthed in 1933, the tomb of the King of Chu in Shou County. Height 1 13cm, caliber 93cm, and weight about 400kg. It has a round mouth, flat lips, a round bottom, ears, hooves and feet. There is a checkered moire pattern on the ears, a flat net pattern on the abdomen and a Xi Shou pattern on the knees. It is now in the Anhui Provincial Museum. At that time, the tomb was discovered only after it was stolen by ordinary people. At first, it did not attract the attention of government departments. Later, more and more bronzes were unearthed, which attracted the attention of the national government. But at this time, many cultural relics have been lost to Shanghai and Tianjin. In order to recover these cultural relics, the National Government ordered the collection of these cultural relics together with hundreds of other bronzes except Chu Dading. These cultural relics were collected in the Anhui Provincial Museum in Anqing when they were sent together.
