What's the difference between a trainee and an internship?
1. The nature of probation and internship is different.

-"Internship" is a social practice activity carried out in the unit before graduation. The purpose is to help students accumulate work experience in practice and improve their professional ability.

-"Internship" is an activity of business adaptation and assessment in the unit after graduation, which aims to help new employees adapt to the working environment and improve their working ability.

2. The legal provisions of probation and internship are different.

There are two types of interns. One is the period of receiving professional training in the unit according to the requirements of laws and regulations, which is generally limited to one year, such as lawyers. Such interns sign labor contracts with the unit and enjoy the rights and obligations of workers.

-The other is the social practice activities carried out in the unit due to teaching needs, such as graduation practice for college students. If no labor contract is signed, the disputes arising therefrom shall be settled according to the civil law and labor law. This kind of intern belongs to the civil labor relationship with the unit, and can establish an internship agreement with the school or enterprise, and the enterprise can pay a certain amount of remuneration.

-Probation period system is a system for business adaptation and assessment of fresh graduates in China, which is suitable for employers to recruit fresh graduates. The probation period is generally three months to one year. No labor contract is signed during the probation period, but a probation agreement is signed, and internship subsidies are paid according to regulations. After the probation period expires, if both parties are willing to continue cooperation, they can sign a labor contract and pay the probation salary according to the regulations.

3. The goals of internship and internship are different.

The purpose of internship is to let students have a preliminary understanding of their major, increase some perceptual knowledge, lay a foundation for future theoretical knowledge study and in-depth study, and also help students understand some problems encountered in their study through internship.

-The goal of internship is to make new employees fully understand their positions, be familiar with and master the skills and requirements of this position, and prepare for their official posts in the future. They can also help solve some problems in their work through internships.
