What is the ideology, politics, organization and economy of the four clean-ups movement?
It is proposed to carry out a socialist education campaign in rural areas with the main contents of "four clean-ups" (clearing accounts, warehouses, property and work points). Subsequently, the Central Hangzhou Conference formulated the Draft Decision on Several Issues Concerning Current Rural Work (namely, the first ten articles) as a programmatic document to guide the socialist education movement, arguing that "there is a serious and sharp class struggle in China society at present". From September 6 to 27, the Central Beijing Working Conference, on the basis of fully affirming the "first ten articles", formulated the "Provisions on Some Specific Policies in the Rural Socialist Education Movement (Draft)" (namely "the last ten articles"), emphasizing "taking class struggle as the key link". So far, the "Double Ten Articles", as a programmatic document of the "Four Clean-ups" movement, has been publicized and implemented in the vast rural areas of the country to guide the development of the "Four Clean-ups" movement.
