According to the undergraduate enrollment regulations of Kunming University of Science and Technology in 2022, there are three modes of undergraduate training, namely "ordinary undergraduate course", "ordinary undergraduate course in higher vocational education" (hereinafter referred to as "higher vocational undergraduate course") and "Sino-foreign cooperative education". All three modes belong to undergraduate level and are full-time training. Students who meet the relevant regulations upon graduation will be awarded graduation certificates and degree certificates by Kunming University of Science and Technology.

Art-related majors enroll students in undergraduate and higher vocational training modes. The training institution of art-related majors in higher vocational colleges is City College. The enrollment provinces outside the province of art-related majors in higher vocational colleges are Inner Mongolia, Shandong, Henan, Hunan, Sichuan and Gansu.

Schools implement flexible academic system on the basis of basic academic system. The basic academic system of undergraduate majors in higher vocational colleges is 4 years, and the flexible academic system is 3-7 years.

Tuition for undergraduate majors in higher vocational colleges: 7,000 yuan/academic year for majors in literature, economy and management; 8,500 yuan/academic year for science and engineering majors; Art major 10000 yuan/school year.
