Xi 'an, known as Chang 'an and Haojing in ancient times, is the capital of Shaanxi, a sub-provincial city and the core city of Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration. It used to be the starting point of the ancient Silk Road, the core area of the Belt and Road, an important central city in western China, and an important national scientific research, education and industrial base. Xi is one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization and the Chinese nation, where more than ten dynasties established their capitals in history.
Xi is the best tourist destination in China and one of the cities with the most international image in China. There are two of the six heritages listed in the World Heritage List, namely, the Mausoleum of Qin Shihuang and Terracotta Warriors, Wild Goose Pagoda, Small Wild Goose Pagoda, Daming Palace Site in Chang 'an City in Tang Dynasty, Weiyang Palace Site in Chang 'an City in Han Dynasty and Xingjiao Temple Tower.
Xi City is located in Guanzhong Basin in the middle of Weihe River Basin, with east longitude 107.40 ~ 109.49 degrees and north latitude of 33.42 ~ 34.45 degrees, bordering Weihe River and Loess Plateau in the north and Qinling Mountains in the south. Xi 'an Plain belongs to warm temperate zone and semi-humid continental monsoon climate, with four distinct seasons: cold, warm, dry and wet.
Winter is cold, windy, foggy and less rainy and snowy; Spring is warm, dry, windy and the climate is changeable; Summer is hot and rainy, drought is prominent, and there are many thunderstorms and strong winds; Autumn is cool, the temperature drops rapidly, and the autumn rain is obvious. There are 54 rivers in Xi 'an, with dense river networks. Among them, Weihe River, Jinghe River and Shichuan River are transit rivers, and the rest rivers all originate from Qinling Mountains or the hills of Li Dongnan, and most of them flow through Weihe Plain from south to north and flow into Weihe River.
