Yesterday, a seminar on "Higher Education Quality Improvement and Talent Training Mode Innovation" jointly organized by Beijing Higher Education Society, Beijing Normal University and Beijing Education Audio-visual Publishing House was held in Beijing Normal University. Xian, President of Beijing Higher Education Society, Li Qing, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of Beijing Normal University, Vice President of Beijing Education Audio-visual Newspaper, Director of Higher Education Department of Beijing Education Commission, and other relevant leaders listened to the meeting report and made speeches. A total of 80 experts and scholars from capital universities and foreign universities attended the meeting.

The meeting pointed out that continuously improving the quality of higher education and the level of personnel training is an eternal theme accompanying the development of higher education. In order to achieve the goal of improving quality, colleges and universities are actively exploring feasible paths and accumulating successful experience.

First of all, the state puts forward the strategic policy of building world-class universities and first-class disciplines as a whole, which urges universities entering the "double-first-class" construction plan to think deeply about improving quality.

Second, according to the requirement of "higher education realizes connotative development" put forward by the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, more colleges and universities are thinking about how to establish new development goals and positioning under the premise of reasonable positioning. Third, universities in the capital should further improve their education and teaching level on the original basis, promote students' higher-quality employment by improving the quality of personnel training, and make contributions to building Beijing into a harmonious and livable international metropolis and a national political, cultural, international exchange and scientific and technological innovation center.
