When did the burden reduction policy start?
In the true sense, China put forward "reducing the burden" earlier, dating back to 65 years ago, that is, in July of 1955, the Ministry of Education officially issued the first "reducing the burden" document "Instructions on reducing the excessive burden of primary and secondary school students", pointing out that "primary and secondary school students in some areas are overburdened at this stage"!

Over time, the relevant policies of "reducing the educational burden" will appear every once in a while, until 20 18, which is the strictest "burden reduction order" in the history of education in China. In this "Measures to Reduce the Burden of Primary and Secondary School Students", a total of 30 measures are put forward, including strictly controlling the total amount of written homework, prohibiting over-standard training, strictly following the curriculum standards, and adopting grade evaluation methods. Therefore, this "burden reduction order" of the Ministry of Education is also called "30 burden reductions".
