Innocence: the quality of not being bound by customs; Simple and sincere, without any affectation and hypocrisy; True innocence is not synonymous with being easily confused by false appearances and immaturity, but to wash away the lead and remain naive after the storm.
Naive: This refers to children who have not been systematically educated. Their thoughts are innocent, simple and uncomplicated, and they always speak directly and have a strong sense of self. Later, it was extended to adults who are immature in thought, not broad in knowledge, difficult to understand the essence of the problem and always like subjective imagination.
Second, the difference
Both innocence and naivety can be used on children. But if it is used in adults, the meaning is different.
Innocence: often used as a commendatory term to describe a person's inner simplicity, unpretentious and hypocrisy.
Naive: Often used as a derogatory term to describe a person's immature mind and ignorant behavior like a child.
But innocence is sometimes used as a derogatory term, meaning the same as childishness.
Couples after breaking up say that the other person is naive, which may indicate that the other person is not mature enough and thinks too simply about everything. It may also be a simple compliment to each other. However, since it is a breakup, it is estimated that the former is more likely.
