The French Higher Education Agency organizes several French exams in various centers every year. Anyone can sign up. If you apply for an ordinary long-term student visa, and your course is taught in French in whole or in part, you must provide proof of French test scores within the validity period. If you apply for a temporary long-term student visa, you don't need to provide French test scores within the validity period. In addition, the French proficiency test can be exempted under the following circumstances:

Students with Delve or DALF scores;

Students who have obtained a bachelor's degree in French or a fourth grade in French;

Winner of French government scholarship, China government scholarship and Mundus scholarship;

Students who have obtained a French diploma recognized by the French Ministry of Education;

Students from countries where French is the first or second official language;

Students who have obtained the results of Master Tage exam.

Type and cost of examination

French higher education institutions organize five types of examinations:

Pre-visa exam -TCF/TEF (non-optional exam type): you can register all year round. Registration examination fee: 1700 yuan

TCF required test +TCF optional test (writing and speaking): twice a year. The examination selection is mainly aimed at the special requirements of some schools for candidates. The registration fee is 3400 yuan.

TCF elective examination (writing and speaking): Twice a year, the elective examination is mainly held for the special requirements of some schools for candidates. Only students who have taken the TCF exam and the exam is still valid are eligible to register. Registration examination fee: 1700 yuan

TCF democratic action party exam: organized in early January, once a year, this exam is mainly aimed at those candidates who want to register directly for the democratic action party. Registration examination fee: 1800 yuan

TCF ANF exam: I need to apply at the reception desk of the French Ministry of Higher Education. Only for those who apply for French naturalization. Registration examination fee: 1400 yuan

method of payment

French exam fees can only be paid by remittance from China Bank. The remittance account information is as follows:

In order to confirm your remittance as soon as possible, you must also indicate your name pinyin, French study abroad registration number (except naturalization exam) and the type of exam you want to take, such as:

Please keep all the information of remittance, because you need to fill in the relevant content on the French study abroad website!

Regarding refund: The French Embassy will no longer accept any application for refund of paid French exam fees.

Please pay attention! We remind applicants that it is forbidden to use tape recorders, cameras or mobile phones to record or take photos during interviews or French exams. All cheating or attempts to cheat will be punished immediately. Once found, it is forbidden to participate in the French exam and interview for pre-visa procedures within two years.

French exam registration steps

Open and fill in the information in the account in the French study abroad system (except for the naturalization test). Write down your CN number, which will be used when confirming the remittance.

Pay according to your exam type. Keep all remittance documents and information.

Try to fill in the payment information in the "My Language Test" column of the French study abroad system on the day of remittance. The payment statement will be completed automatically.

After the financial department confirms the payment, you can choose the corresponding examination link in the French learning system. Pay attention to carefully confirm the time and place of the exam. Once the selection is confirmed, it cannot be changed.

A week or two before the French exam, you will receive the admission ticket in the message system. Print this admission ticket, write down your CN number and attach your passport photo.

Bring your admission ticket and ID card to the examination place half an hour before the exam.

After the exam, the staff will give you a temporary report card.

About one month after the exam, we will inform you to get the official report card from the French trainee system, and then please bring your ID card to the center where you take the exam. If you can't collect it in person, you can entrust someone else to bring a copy of your ID card, your power of attorney and his ID card to collect the report card (TEF test only).
