Chongqing Institute of Education is a public undergraduate school with the aim of "taking root in Chongqing's basic education and serving teachers' professional development", which is headed by Chongqing Municipal Education Commission. Data Selection "Hundred Schools Project" in China is the national college students' cultural quality education base, the experimental area of teacher education innovation in Chongqing, and the key research base of humanities and social sciences in Chongqing.

The school has two campuses, Nanshan and Xuefu Avenue, and now has 1 1 secondary teaching units, such as Teachers' Education College, Preschool Education College (Chongqing Preschool Education College), Continuing Education College, School of Mathematics and Information Engineering, and School of Tourism and Service Management. At present, there are 29 undergraduate majors, involving 7 disciplines including education, literature, science, engineering, economics, management and art.
