Classification and system of vocational education
Vocational education is to train the educated to have the necessary knowledge and skills to engage in a certain occupation, so vocational education is also called vocational and technical education or industrial education. According to the four categories of education, vocational education is one of the four major education departments, alongside basic education, higher education and adult education. China's vocational education system includes two parts.

Vocational school education

Vocational school education is academic vocational education, which is divided into primary, secondary and higher vocational school education.

Vocational training

Vocational training is an educational and training activity aimed at developing and improving workers' vocational skills according to the requirements of occupation or work. It is a non-academic short-term vocational education. There are many forms of vocational training. At present, China's vocational training includes pre-job training, job transfer training, apprenticeship training, on-the-job training, job transfer training and other vocational training. Vocational training can be divided into primary, intermediate and advanced vocational training according to the actual situation.

Vocational education in ordinary primary and secondary schools

While carrying out basic cultural knowledge education, ordinary primary and secondary schools in China appropriately introduce vocational education content, provide vocational guidance to students and offer relevant vocational courses, so that students can acquire preliminary vocational knowledge and skills.
