The supervision brigade is the functional department of the supervision detachment of the Public Security Bureau in charge of the work of detention centers, public security detention centers, detention centers, compulsory isolation drug rehabilitation centers and other places that restrict personal freedom. There are a detention center work guidance unit, a compulsory drug rehabilitation work guidance unit, a political secret unit and a monitoring technology guidance unit.

The supervision brigade is mainly responsible for preventing, stopping and detecting illegal and criminal activities, preventing and cracking down on terrorist activities, maintaining social order and stopping acts endangering social order.
