It can be seen that the quality of this course is directly related to whether students can adapt to university life and future development as soon as possible, and also to whether ideological and political education in colleges and universities can achieve practical results. Through years of student management, I think we should carry out entrance education from the following five aspects:
1. Subject concept education
Freshmen should be strict in all aspects as soon as they enter school, so that students can form a good habit of consciously observing school rules and disciplines from the first day of school, and at the same time, they can feel the relaxed and comfortable learning atmosphere of the school. Organize freshmen to learn the Student Handbook and related school rules in the classroom, so that each freshman can know how to meet the requirements of a qualified college student, enhance their consciousness of actively choosing the right behavior, and let students with poor individual discipline concept and poor self-discipline and self-control ability receive healthy moral edification in the optimization of the group, and enhance their discipline concept.
2. Mental health education
Mental health education can not be ignored, which has become the consensus of the education sector. According to the statistics of relevant departments, 25%-30% of college students in China have psychological barriers to varying degrees, and 6%-8% of college students have mental illness. The tragedy caused by college students' psychological imbalance is shocking. Being far away from home, facing the unfamiliar university environment, brand-new learning methods and economic pressure will inevitably bring many inconveniences, psychological imbalance and even serious psychological problems to freshmen who have just entered the university gate. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a psychological consultation and psychological investigation for all freshmen after entering school. On the possible basis, establish a mental health file for each freshman, pay special attention to students with mental diseases and obstacles, as well as poor students, orphans and students from single-parent families, understand the confusion and problems encountered by students, and unblock communication in time. When they are found to have psychological problems, they should communicate with counselors or psychological counseling teachers in time.
