Jilin Staff Medical University is an independent adult medical college approved by the Education Department of Jilin Province and put on record by the Ministry of Education.

The school was founded in 1979, passed the evaluation and acceptance of provincial and ministerial adult medical colleges in 1994, and merged with Jilin Health School with the approval of Jilin Municipal People's Government in 1999.
