Pishan county belongs to Hotan area of Xinjiang.

Pishan County is located at the southernmost tip of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, at the northern foot of Karakorum Mountain, on the southern edge of Taklimakan Desert, bordering Indian-controlled Kashmir. It is a border county with 12 ethnic groups such as Han, Tajik and Kirgiz, with a total length of 54.5 kilometers.

The county has jurisdiction over 16 townships (7 plain townships in the north and south of National Highway 3 15 and 9 mountainous townships), an agricultural comprehensive development zone, a seed farm and a state-owned pasture.

The development of history

Pi Valley is one of the thirty-six western regions. Hanshu? "Biography of the Western Regions" records: "Pishan Kingdom, Pishan City, Wang Zhi, goes 50 miles to Chang 'an and meets Tiandu in the south". The three countries are called the country of learning, and the Northern Wei Dynasty is the country of Pushan.
