The College of Continuing Education of Hebei Normal University of Science and Technology was established in March 2002. Its predecessor was the Training Department of Hebei Agricultural Science and Technology Teachers College, which was established in 1988. It consists of an office, an adult and distance education center, a self-study examination and social training center, a vocational education teacher training center, a continuing education center for primary and secondary schools and a national vocational skill appraisal institute. At present, the main continuing education projects not only undertake the main training tasks of the national key vocational education teacher training base, the modern agricultural technology training base of the Ministry of Agriculture, the vocational education teacher training base of Hebei Province, and the primary and secondary school teacher training base of Hebei Province, but also include adult correspondence (amateur) education, distance education, higher education self-study examination, professional qualification and skill appraisal, and continuing education and training for employees of industrial enterprises.
