About the author:

Shi Songrang was born in Wu Xiong, Saga Prefecture in the thirty-fifth year of Meiji (1902). He graduated from the old Japanese Naval Academy (Guan Hai) No.51and the Naval University, and studied at Princeton University in the United States. After serving as a sailor on the light cruiser Isuzu, he was transferred to Mina Gwangju's secretary, adjutant and secretary of the navy. During the war, he served as an assistant naval attache in Washington. After returning to China by exchange ship, he was transferred to the naval staff of the base camp and the instructor of the naval university to meet the final battle with the rank of naval colonel. After the war, he devoted himself to the study of war history. His major works include New Edition of Mina Gwangju, Governor Yoshida Yamato, Naval University Education, My Waves, 365 Days Before Pearl Harbor, and Japanese Navy. And there are many translations.
