How to improve party member cadres' awareness of implementing the mass line should be grasped. I understand that in this route education activity, it is the key to always remember "who I am, for whom, and who I rely on". As a cadre in party member, especially a leading cadre, we should first make clear who I am, always remember that I am a public servant of the people, stand firm by the masses, enhance public servant awareness, strengthen responsibility, enhance people's feelings, and correctly exercise the power entrusted by the Party and the people. Second, we must accurately grasp the "for whom", always serve the people wholeheartedly, unswervingly grasp development, benefit people's livelihood, promote harmony, and make great efforts to solve some outstanding problems that have a bearing on the overall situation, people's livelihood and long-term. Our feelings for the masses are directly reflected in our working methods and results. At present, with the rapid development of economy, the situation at the grass-roots level is also changing synchronously. What is the current situation at the grassroots level? What are the demands of the masses? Without a clear understanding of these situations, the work will be difficult to be effective. But in reality, party member cadres, especially leading cadres, are often busy with their daily work, and seldom go deep into grassroots investigation and research. Even if it goes on, it will only be a cursory look, with a macro grasp of some situations, leading to a lack of understanding of the grassroots situation. Therefore, we need to consciously establish mass consciousness, make more efforts in in-depth investigation and study, grasp the grass-roots situation and the interests of the masses, think and deal with problems from the perspective of the masses, draw more experience and wisdom from the masses, make decisions and decide measures, and further strengthen the relationship between the party and the masses.
Third, we should take the initiative to put down our stance and try to listen to opinions sincerely. It is an important principle of educational practice to keep the door open for activities and listen to opinions. How can we really hear the voices and opinions of the masses? Soliciting opinions requires listening to the voices of the masses face to face, understanding their demands, feeling their sufferings, and narrowing the distance with them from words, deeds and details. In my opinion, going deep into the masses to solicit opinions should make the places for soliciting opinions diversified, grass-roots and on-the-spot, rather than arranging, notifying and going through the motions in advance. Third, we should open our doors and "welcome" the masses. The masses can see clearly what the style of cadres is and what problems exist. We regard this educational practice as an opportunity to keep close contact with the masses and enhance ideological communication. Fourth, we should improve ways and means and strive to improve our working ability. We often develop some habits of formalism, bureaucracy, hedonism and extravagance in the conscious and unconscious environment, and we are used to it. Over time, the masses will naturally feel antipathy and even hatred and excessive behavior, and the relationship between the party and the masses will inevitably be alienated and even tense.
