The main responsibilities of Guangdong Education Examinations Institute:

1. Responsible for drafting the draft laws and regulations of the whole province's education entrance examination, participating in the formulation of relevant entrance examination policies, formulating enrollment plans and organizing their implementation.

2. To undertake the organization of enrollment, examination, marking and admission of self-study exams in ordinary colleges, adult colleges, secondary vocational and technical schools and higher education.

3. Entrusted by the Ministry of Education, undertake the enrollment plan, professional catalogue compilation, registration, examination, marking and admission of overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students jointly recruited by ordinary colleges and universities nationwide.
