How to enter the psychological counseling industry? Become an excellent heart
In recent years, psychological counseling, psychological counseling and mental health education have been highly valued. More and more people want to join this industry and do active health undertakings, but they are so confused about this industry. How can they become excellent psychological counselors? Psychological counselor is a career that needs lifelong learning. To be a qualified/excellent psychological counselor, you need to have the most basic qualities, three of which are very important: love learning, love thinking and persist in practice. If you don't regard learning as fun, but only as a means of making a living by career, you will be too busy to study a lot. "Learning without thinking is useless, and thinking without learning is dangerous." Really effective learning has always been learning and thinking. Learning without thinking is easy to "enforce the law", thinking without learning is easy to "enforce the law". Learning a lot, thinking deeply, but lazy to practice, it is easy to be "empty". Of course, some people who don't study or think are "stubborn". If you want to grow into an efficient psychological counselor with low learning cost, you need special learning methods. Just like a person who can't read, eating a book from beginning to end is time-consuming and laborious, with little effect; Anyone who can read will know that some books have gained a lot just by studying the catalogue carefully. This paper will briefly summarize the career path of psychological counselors from the aspects of learning content, learning methods, learning objects, learning results, learning time, learning purpose and four learning States. 1, learn what? (Content) What do you need to learn to become a psychological counselor? Master's degree and doctor's degree in psychology are all quite professional, right? I have thoroughly studied the life of Lao Fu, and different schools have different theories ... but many masters and doctors can't be consultants. Not only that, their teachers also told them: neither can I ... So, what do people who really "understand" learn? Learn technology? Not to mention "learning", it is fresh enough to look at the tricks of various schools: Satya, Hellinger, NLP, hypnosis, art therapy ... and so on, nothing more than touching the law. There are several levels to learn technology. The first level is "experience". Many people just stay at this level and think that this technology is "fantastic" (in fact, they don't have enough knowledge to explain it), so they spread it everywhere. The second level is "infatuation with learning". The more you look at it, the more you are fascinated. The more you learn, the more you look at it. It is a superstition to think that this technology can really cure all diseases. The result is just to turn a blind eye (even the "leaves" have never really been seen). The third level is "understanding", not only knowing why, but also knowing why. The same medicine, because people are changing all the time, knowing its pharmacology can take effect. The third level is "not limited to art". From seeing the move to dismantling the move, to seeing the enrollment move. Technology can be created at will. Therefore, the key to learning technology is not to be superstitious or partial, and any method can be used. Learn theory? Learning theory is a very hard, lonely and interesting process. Sometimes a word is enough to make you forget about tea and rice, and sometimes you are overjoyed. But the breadth and depth of psychological theory are not enough, the foundation is not solid enough, and the internal strength is not deep enough. Even if I teach you a set of eighteen palms, you may not even catch a chicken. Faced with the complicated world, because the theoretical model (hard disk) is "unrecognizable", it is impossible to carry out professional analysis and processing (CPU can't work), and consultants will panic (collapse) and be easily dragged into hallucinations (poisoning). There is another phenomenon: the hard disk is very big (I have learned a lot of theories), but the CPU is very low-level (the ability to conceptualize phenomena with theories is too weak), and it will also "crash" and cannot work. Religion, philosophy, cultural anthropology, literature, history ... psychology covers almost all subjects. However, "my life is limited and my knowledge is limited." There are restrictions, there are no restrictions. "How much is enough to study theory, and how deep is enough? Maybe you haven't learned enough, and you haven't learned enough. Learning theory lies not in how much you learn, but in how much you can use. Both theory and technology, as psychological counseling, are ultimately applied to "people". If you only have "Dharma" in your heart but no "people" in your eyes, it's like stabbing a blind man with a sharp knife, which is extremely dangerous. It is better not to learn. In my opinion, the most important learning content of psychological counselors is "learning". Scholars are divided into two aspects. The first is to know the consultant himself. Which market do you need to face and which target groups do you want to face? What are your strengths? What is an appropriate learning style? What is the efficient channel for receiving information? What is your interest in learning? Good at (relaxing)? Or is it really helpful for your own development? Many people, even if they have the enthusiasm for learning, can't explain clearly why they want to learn this. As a result, many other people "grow up" endlessly, always feeling that they don't know themselves well enough and are deeply immersed in appreciating their feelings. Unfortunately, self-tasting is a poison that makes people feel happy. (In fact, it can also be understood as: self-appreciation, narcissistic personality) If a person's self-growth has reached the point of forgetting his original intention, his growth will have no meaning and value. The second is to understand the target population. Ordinary people, what problems they encounter in life will cause psychological confusion, what they think, what are the reasons behind it and what are the consequences. Psychological counseling is a person's job. People's work can only be truly tested and exercised when facing people. Consultants should create more opportunities to go out of the consulting room, learn to establish relationships with people by talking about salons, doing training (even when shopping), facing real life and all kinds of people, and listen to them wholeheartedly, understand them, stay with them and feel the same. Full contact with people is the place where psychological counselors settle down. A scholar needs to know himself, to know himself, in order to be conscious and conscious. 2. how to learn? After talking for a long time, I finally understood what I wanted to learn. Next, I will consider how to study. How to learn, the key is to solve two problems: how to learn at low cost? How to learn is efficient? In the training class last few days, thousands or even tens of thousands of people followed the "famous teachers" (not many of them were "masters"). They may only learn the content of a book, and some even don't even tell the whole content. It's just that the teacher said it and we listened, even if the money was spent. Dozens of dollars is less than buying a book, which is more comprehensive than what the teacher said in a few days' class. We haven't figured out exactly where the money is spent. What we spend a lot of money on is the teacher's value and reputation. At most, attach a certificate of attending a famous teacher course, which will bring a sense of security to some psychological counselors. After all, what we buy is a sense of security endowed by external values. I feel that I have spent a lot of money on more than a dozen "master's" courses and should be "qualified" to do consulting in this industry. (As for how to be "qualified", the following "How to consider" will be elaborated in detail. It seems that spending a lot of money to buy a "qualified" feeling may not really learn anything. Isn't this cost very high? To really learn some skills in a down-to-earth manner, we can only honestly spend more time learning some core theories and technical systems of psychology and build a complete professional knowledge framework. Money can't be spent, but it should be spent on the blade. More valuable than spending money is spending time and energy to study some seemingly difficult but practical classics, real masters. Confucius said: It's a pleasure to learn from the times. Many people understand this "study" as "review". My understanding is: practice. If you learn, you must apply what you have learned. The theory and technology of psychological counseling can really test how much you have learned, and finally it has to be applied to "people". Learning without learning, or learning without learning, is not efficient learning. We should ask ourselves from time to time: How many opportunities have we created for ourselves to put what we have learned into practice? How to learn? Cultivate reading vision, cultivate professional self-confidence, and temper your professional standards in practice. 3. Who should I learn from? There are many schools for psychological counseling, and there are also teachers who teach people how to do counseling. Who should we learn from? Some teachers learn from each other, so they fall in love and faint. Because a teacher can't see the mountain. Some learn which teacher, first crawl to the ground, wait until "conscious" (feel that they have seen through the teacher's things and learned), and then start PK, and it is no big deal to publicize the teacher everywhere. Oh! People are always limited. I thought the teacher was a god at first, but later I found that the teacher was just a person. I think I thought I was a monkey at first, and then I found that I could be a man and/or a god. These people, unless they are old, take photos with me. The so-called "teacher" is not a "teacher", but a "teacher", that's all. Confucius said: In a threesome, there must be a teacher. The reality is that we always seem to have a certain degree of "loyalty" to our teachers. We feel that learning in this school is not good (teachers will be unhappy), and we care about the feelings of teachers, not the goals that are conducive to our own study. Another reality is that we set too high a standard for those who can become our own teachers. I feel that many people are like this. How can they be their own teachers? Hehe, narcissistic personality is coming again. Only when you have taken the law from many people can you be handy. It's one-sided to learn from only one teacher, but it's hard to excel shine on you. How many people can become your teachers reflects not your level, but your "mind". It takes a lot of "heart" to take the law from the masses; How much you learn depends on how much heart you are willing to give. 4. How to think about it? (Results) Who will consider the study of psychological counselors? What is the standard? There are more than 320,000 counselors with counselor certificates in China, and most of them dare not say that they have the professional ability to engage in psychological counseling. Everything for people is the most difficult to consider. How deep should the psychological counselor's research be? The difficulty of consideration is not "depth", but how simple it can be. Make it clear, make it clear. Bai Juyi's poems are said to make the old woman understand, and he was satisfied. Just to meet the needs of narcissism, not to face people's sincerity about their work. It seems simple, but it has great meaning. Therefore, it is easy to misunderstand: ignorant laymen think that psychological counseling is just "chatting" and can't see the skills behind the plain language of psychological counselors; For those who don't understand, it's easy to learn as long as you ask a few questions and do some little tricks. The study considerations of psychological counselors have to be put into lectures. In consulting practice, when others ask, they will see the truth. Can they be understood in simple language? Can you talk about it? I think these two standards are more realistic. 5. Is it time to study? Developed countries also have very high requirements for psychological practitioners. In the United States, psychological counseling and therapy professionals must have a doctorate in philosophy or a doctorate in education, which has included the requirements of professional psychological standards. Not only that, but also professional training, 100 hours of supervision and 300 hours of personal experience. After becoming a formal therapist, you still need regular supervision and treatment. In some European countries, psychological counselors or psychotherapists should have at least a master's degree, study for five to seven years, and then put into clinical practice training in the last year. After graduation, you should first go to a hospital or clinic to be an unpaid assistant. It takes 1 to 2 years to become a formal psychological counseling or therapy professional. Needless to say, how much effort you have to make, just the necessary study time is enough, which is called professional guarantee. What is our job security? A month's training+a paper qualification certificate? ! It's strange that such a consultant is not anxious about visitors! Professional guarantee, but not necessarily professional! Psychological counselors do not have a certain amount of study time, and it is really impossible to guarantee professionalism. Learn more and think more than your visitor. You can try to ask him for advice. How long will it take? It's hard to say. The basis of learning, the speed of learning, and the understanding of learning vary from person to person, with only a thousand volumes of confusion and one word of understanding. If the attitude and method of learning are wrong, it will go in the opposite direction. With the guidance of the "master", standing on the shoulders of others will always see farther. At the same time, the study of consultants cannot be calculated in unit time. Watching TV plays, advertisements, listening to people, pouring q water, reading, writing, being silent ... are all learning and thinking. Sometimes, you will suffer from compulsive thinking. Therefore, we should also learn to force our brains to rest, work and live in the present. 6. What is the purpose of learning? Why do you want to be a counselor Because people say I understand. Is it your intrinsic value pursuit to become a psychological counselor, or is it to gain praise and affirmation from others? It is based on the external value of others. "Help others help themselves"? With the heart of "I want to help others", I can never do psychological counseling well. I put the responsibility of visitors' growth on my back, can I go into battle easily? It soon dried up. " You make money because the threshold is low "? Hehe, making money? Unless you have strong business application ability, it is not a wise choice to join this industry for the purpose of making money. It just looks beautiful. It is not easy. To solve your own problems? Because it is unreliable to ask anyone, I have to dissect myself while studying. The counselor's focus is only on himself, and he can't do consultation well. If you just want to solve your own problems, you don't have to go to great lengths to study. It is more practical and effective to choose personal growth experience counseling, or learn to trust others and find a predestined psychological counselor to help you understand yourself. One more question: Why do you want to be a psychological counselor? 7. Four States of learning The first state: I don't know. The so-called: people don't learn and don't know. People who never read books and think little always seem confident, but in fact they are very conceited and "stubborn". They have read a little and learned a trick and a half, and it is ridiculous to show off without knowing why. It is difficult for people who don't know what they lack to guide them to learn. The second state: knowing that you don't know. This kind of person has a clear learning goal, the highest learning efficiency and a very fast growth. It is not difficult to know the difficulty. Sensitive and eager to learn, just don't be ashamed to ask questions. However, there are many things you don't know. How to choose, you must first have some ideas about your career planning. In this way, you will know your priorities and know how to choose. The third state: I don't know, I know. It is necessary to study with an open mind. But blindly humble, I always feel that I have not learned well enough, in fact, I feel inferior. Modesty is enough, there is no need to be modest. Always in learning, as long as you don't make a move, you can be "unbeaten." People with low self-esteem have no courage to try and make mistakes. The fourth state: knowing is knowing, not knowing is not knowing, and knowing is also. Know your strengths and limitations, appreciate what you can do, and admit and accept what you can't do. With this mentality, you can learn and do. Knowing what you know and not knowing what you don't know requires a certain theoretical basis and a complete knowledge structure, as well as the courage to have a clear understanding of yourself, so as to judge what you can do, what you can't do and who can do. Well, this is a recommendation. A successful referral is a successful consultation. The career learning of psychological counselors is a long road, which not only involves searching from top to bottom, but also the most important point: "What you get on paper is shallow, and you never know what to do." When you do it, you will be closer to your major. Zong he Lian heng education psychological consultation Shi center
