Nanjing Teachers College of Special Education is located in Nanjing, the "capital of fraternity", and it is the only independent provincial undergraduate college in China to train special education teachers and professionals for the disabled. The school was founded by the Ministry of Education 1982 with the support of UNICEF, and was originally named "Nanjing Normal School for Special Education".
