Beijing city university is an ordinary undergraduate institution of higher learning officially approved by the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). Its predecessor was Haidian University, which was founded in 1984. It is the first privately-run university in New China with the qualification of issuing nationally recognized academic qualifications, and now it is the only privately-run undergraduate university in Beijing. The College has made great achievements and experience in cultivating applied talents, which has been fully affirmed by the Party and the country, the Ministry of Education, the Beijing Municipal Government and all walks of life, and has had a certain influence in the international private education sector.
