Administrative division code, also known as administrative code, is the identification symbol of state administrative organs, and generally implements two national standards: Administrative Division Code of the People's Republic of China (GB/T2260-2007) and Rules for Compilation of Administrative Division Code below County Level (GB/T1014-2003). Equivalent to the identity number of the institution.

The meaning of the code from left to right is:
The first and second digits represent provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government and special administrative regions).
The third and fourth digits represent cities (regions, autonomous prefectures, leagues, municipalities directly under the Central Government, municipal districts and counties). Where 0 1-20 and 5 1-70 represent provinces and municipalities directly under the central government; 2 1-50 indicates regions (autonomous prefectures and leagues).
The fifth and sixth representatives represent counties (municipal districts, county-level cities and banners). 0 1- 18 refers to the county-level cities under the jurisdiction of municipal districts or regions (autonomous prefectures and leagues); 2 1-80 stands for county (flag); 8 1-99 stands for county-level cities directly under the provincial government.
The seventh to ninth people represent towns (street offices).
