Public primary and secondary schools
In public schools, the state government controls the decision-making power of what your children learn in public schools, while local school districts, principals, teachers and parents jointly decide the way to educate their children. As a special type of public school, charter school does not belong to the local school district, but operates independently. Public schools are mainly funded by local taxes, state taxes and some federal taxes you pay.
private school
Private schools are managed by non-governmental organizations (including religious and non-religious organizations). Such schools need to pay fees (usually called tuition fees). However, some private schools provide financial aid to students with financial difficulties. In some areas, public foundations even issue education vouchers to help students enter private schools. Many states require private schools to be listed or registered, and many private schools choose to be accredited by accreditation associations.
