Psychological health education in colleges and universities
Paying attention to school mental health education is the achievement of educational development and reform movement in this century, and its importance and significance are self-evident. Quality education is the mainstream of today's education, and one of the fundamental principles of implementing quality education is to pay more attention to the all-round growth of students. In other words, in order to get rid of the original misconception of simply paying attention to students' health and academic performance, we should put students' mental health problems in an important position. In our education today, there are still many problems in mental health education. 1. There is a problem that schools pay insufficient attention to mental health education. Some schools confuse mental health education with moral education, so that mental health education courses are also contaminated with moral education. In content, it is emphasized that students' thoughts and behaviors should conform to the norms and be rigidly compared with them. If there is deviation, it will be labeled as psychological problem or unhealthy. Teachers lack psychological knowledge and schools lack necessary facilities, which leads to the backwardness of mental health education, especially in rural schools. Moreover, the school pays more attention to intellectual education than moral education, and pays less attention to mental health education. Some schools have carried out this kind of education, but they have not carried out mental health education scientifically, which is not practical, informal, in-depth and targeted, and some even don't understand the professional ethics of psychological education, which has seriously hurt students. Students are helpless after they have psychological problems. Long-term accumulation has made students' psychological problems more and more serious. 2. Parents completely ignore students' mental health education. Because our school is a rural junior high school, quite a few families' parents go out to work and their lives are taken care of by their grandparents. At the same time, due to their limited educational level, lack of correct understanding of education and serious lack of knowledge of mental health education, these indisputable facts make parents unwilling and unable to coach their children. However, the mentality of "expecting children to succeed and expecting daughters to succeed" is widespread. In the contradictory confrontation, there are two extreme ways of family education. Some families are obedient to their children and pamper them in their lives. Everything revolves around children, which makes them form a self-centered concept, while parents' love and acquiescence to children make them feel that love is taken for granted. Some families think that "Huang Jing makes a good man by beating and scolding education" and carry out beating education for their children. When a child makes a mistake, parents will be rough on the child, which will cause great psychological pressure on the child. These two kinds of bad phenomena are binding on children, causing psychological obstacles and psychological problems for children. Family is the initial important place for students' socialization, and parents' quality behavior is an important factor affecting students, students and social success. Much of what students know is not learned at school, but from their parents. 3. Social environment has a great negative impact on students' mental health. With the deepening of reform and opening up, information is updated faster and faster, and some negative phenomena produced in the reform are also silently affecting students. Hedonism, money worship, egoism, useless reading, blind comparison, as well as movies, videos, newspapers, video games and Internet cafes that are not suitable for children, make children lose their way. In addition, students' cognitive evaluation level is low and their coping ability is poor, so it is difficult to treat some setbacks correctly. At the same time, they lack social support and are impulsive, which often leads to psychological problems due to the improper behavior of teachers and parents or the influence of unhealthy social factors. Mental health education is not only the task of school education, but also the task and responsibility of the whole society. Mental health education can only be really carried out if it is supported and recognized by the society. In other words, when schools carry out mental health education, they should pay attention to mobilizing the strength of the whole society and get the support and recognition of the society. First of all, they should get the support and recognition of parents. Therefore, we propose that schools should pay attention to reaching a consensus with parents when carrying out mental health education, break the old ideas and prejudices that parents think they can develop well as long as they study hard through various activities and publicity, help parents establish a modern and scientific concept of talents, gain their support and recognition, encourage parents to participate, create an environment and atmosphere in which all employees participate in and support mental health education, and carry out mental health education in a down-to-earth manner. In today's society, the importance of students' mental health is increasingly prominent. Without a healthy mind, a healthy body, excellent study and excellent ability, the harm to many societies will be greater. This requires our parents, our school and even our society to participate in the mental health education of students and jointly create a better society!
