Wu 'an No.1 Middle School was formerly Wu 'an County Middle School founded by 1952; 1954 was renamed Wu 'an County Junior High School; 1957 was renamed Hebei Wu 'an Junior High School; 1958 was renamed Hebei Wu 'an Middle School.

By the end of 20 15 and 10, there were 537 teaching and administrative staff in Wu 'an No.1 Middle School, including 422 full-time teachers. On the morning of August 28th, Wu 'an No.1 Middle School welcomed several special guests. They are Sun Peibo and his family who were admitted to Peking University in 2020. They sent a banner to their alma mater, Wu 'an No.1 Middle School, to express their gratitude. Guo Limin, Party Secretary of the Municipal Education and Sports Bureau, and Li Jianping, Party Secretary and President of Wu 'an No.1 Middle School, had a discussion with Sun Peibo and his family.
