1937 After the July 7th Incident, he returned to his hometown and founded Pingyang Temporary Middle School in Aojiang with several returned students from Tsinghua, Nankai and yenching university to publicize the truth of resisting Japan and saving the nation. The Provincial Department of Education ordered it to close down on trumped-up charges, and went to Tsinghua University Research Institute in Kunming to continue studying. 1940 After graduating in July, he successively served as an associate professor in the Foreign Languages Department of Northwest Normal University (now Beijing Normal University), Sichuan Education College, Sichuan Baisha Women's Teachers College and Chongqing Central University (now Nanjing University).
1July, 947, awarded by the British Council, entered the University of Liverpool to specialize in English literature and obtained a master's degree in literature. 1949 returned to Hong Kong in August, before Guangzhou was liberated. In order to cope with the investigation of the Kuomintang navy, he took a British ship and bought a ticket to Incheon, North Korea. When the ship docked in Tanggu, it landed in Beiping.
After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), he became a professor at Beijing Foreign Studies School. 1952 transferred to the Department of Foreign Affairs of Renmin University of China in May, and later served as the director of the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Section. 1955 so far, he has served as the director of the foreign language teaching and research section and the director of the second department of the Foreign Affairs University. Joined China 1956 in February. During the Cultural Revolution, the School of Foreign Affairs was closed, and 1970 was transferred to the English Department of Beijing Foreign Studies University. 1980 the school of foreign affairs reopened and was transferred back to the institute as a tenured professor.
