Need improvement
As far as the curriculum is concerned, it needs to be improved. The courses of secondary vocational education are mainly based on basic theories. Because most students are junior high school students, employers now require employees to master not only basic knowledge, but also the most advanced skills. Therefore, students who graduated from secondary vocational education need to further study vocational courses.
Education also needs to be improved. Although employers now mainly focus on ability and skills, education is a stepping stone to employment, and secondary school education is obviously not enough. There are more and more junior college students and undergraduates now.
Therefore, as far as the above two points are concerned, students who graduated from secondary vocational schools need to improve their vocational education courses and academic qualifications.
Rural secondary vocational education will be free this year.
2012165438+10 at 20: 00 p.m. 13, Minister of Education Yuan Guiren introduced that recently, the State Council decided to implement free secondary vocational education in rural areas from this autumn semester, extending the tuition-free policy of secondary vocational education to all rural students, urban students majoring in agriculture and students with poor families. This is another important measure taken by our government after the full realization of nine-year free compulsory education in urban and rural areas, which is of milestone significance in the history of vocational education development in China.
The introduction of this policy is mainly based on four considerations: First, support rural development and improve the quality of rural workers. The second is to attach importance to vocational education and further enhance its appeal. The third is to promote education equity and reduce the economic burden of rural students. The fourth is to further accelerate the popularization of high school education in China.
In order to ensure that this policy of benefiting the people is truly implemented, the next step will focus on three tasks: First, do a good job in publicizing and interpreting the new policy, make the new policy of aiding students a household name, and understand the free compulsory education in urban and rural areas and the free secondary vocational education in rural areas. The second is to ensure that student funds are paid in full and on time. The third is to strengthen supervision and management to ensure the smooth implementation of the policy and satisfy students and schools.
Guangzhou deliberated and approved to expand the scope of tuition-free policy for secondary vocational education.
The implementation opinion puts forward that from the fall semester of 20 12, all rural (including county and town) students, urban agriculture-related students, urban-sponsored students and students with financial difficulties will be exempted from tuition fees (except students majoring in art performance); State grants for secondary vocational schools are gradually adjusted from full-time formal students in rural areas (including counties and towns) and students with financial difficulties in urban families in the first and second grades of secondary vocational schools to full-time formal students majoring in agriculture and students with financial difficulties in non-agricultural majors. At the same time, in order to ensure the normal operation of the school, public secondary vocational schools are subsidized by the government in the first, second and third school years according to the number of students who enjoy the tuition-free policy and the tuition-free subsidy standard (the benchmark amount is 3500 yuan/student/year). The meeting pointed out that with the transformation of Guangzhou's economic and social development, a large number of skilled talents will be needed. The relevant municipal departments should, according to the needs of the market, include the professions of providing for the aged, social workers and nursing workers, which are currently in short supply in Guangzhou, appropriately expand the enrollment ratio, and strengthen the training of talents such as general practitioners and bus drivers.
