Xinjiang University, referred to as "Xinda", is located in Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in China. It is one of the first batch of 88 key universities in China and one of the 16 comprehensive key universities determined by the State Council. It is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
