Weihai Local Records Museum is located at Qingdao North Road 158, with a building area of 4,000 square meters and a collection of more than 70,000 books, including 900,000 pages of digital materials and 780 million words. More than 36,000 books have been put on the shelves. According to its functions, the Municipal Local Records Museum is divided into four areas: geographical display area, research and reading area, collection area and management office area. The geography exhibition hall is located on the first floor of the building, with an area of 1700 square meters and an exhibition line of about 280 meters.
The theme of the exhibition is "Chongwen Shangyi Living in a Blessed Land", which is based on the contents recorded in local chronicles. It is divided into eight parts: preface, establishment and evolution, natural environment, rich products, prosperous sea and amorous feelings, which shows the natural, political, economic, social and cultural history and development of Weihai in the past three thousand years. There is an electronic reading room in the research reading area to provide readers with services such as internet access, information retrieval and information inquiry. You can consult the local chronicles of Weihai and other cities in the collection area.
Weihai Local Records Museum has long collected local records, local documents, geographical information and all kinds of physical objects from all walks of life, and received all kinds of local records donated by all walks of life. Citizens can actively participate in providing information. In addition to displaying and collecting market information of all industries in the city for the society, the Municipal Local Records Museum is also responsible for the compilation and professional training of local records, the research and exchange of local records at home and abroad, and the education of ninth grade and patriotism for primary and secondary school students.
The newly-built Museum of Local Records was opened to the public free of charge on July 1 day. Citizens can visit the museum with their ID cards from Tuesday to Sunday from 9: 00 to 16: 00, and the team needs to make an appointment by phone one day in advance.
