Problems and Development of Art Education in China
Qinqi calligraphy and painting of China's classical art; Poetry, books, paintings and seals; Comprehensive art training modes such as ci, song and fu. With the introduction of the art education system in the Soviet Union, various majors are becoming more and more detailed, and various art disciplines are broken down into small but unrelated majors due to differences in skills. The comprehensiveness of art itself is gone, replaced by various professional art colleges: dance college, music college, fine arts college, film college and drama college. Specialization is getting stronger and stronger, but comprehensiveness is getting worse and worse, technology is getting better and better, and humanistic quality is getting lower and lower. This idea of attaching importance to technology over humanities is not only reflected in all kinds of school education, but also in the art college entrance examination. Art Candidates's scores in the cultural course of the college entrance examination are lower than those of ordinary candidates 1/2 or 1/3, and the starting point itself is very low. In addition, due to the problems in the curriculum of college art education, a group of college graduates will carry out the idea of attaching importance to technology rather than humanities. Under this system and this model, how can we cultivate masters? Secondly, the modern art education in China was out of touch with the social needs. On the one hand, the freshest artistic elements in contemporary art cannot enter universities. In our educational philosophy, the discipline that enters the education system must be a mature discipline, that is, discipline-based art education. In education, great works of art are the carriers of human values handed down from generation to generation. This art education theory, which originated in America, is conservative. The most prominent problem is the lack of an evaluation system for contemporary art, and its fresh and active factors cannot enter colleges and universities. However, it is a problem to grasp the standards of these works of art that enter colleges and universities. Therefore, students in professional colleges will be at a loss and not adapt to it for a long time after entering the society. He will find that there are actually many useless things to learn in the college, and the stable and mature subject model is teaching students those old things. Attaching importance to contemporary art means attaching importance to the role of contemporary art criticism in school education. There are three types of school art education system: first, art education in professional colleges, also known as "pure art", aims at cultivating pure artists, and currently includes professional design art education in professional colleges; Second, general art education, including all non-professional art education from kindergarten, primary and secondary schools to colleges and universities; Third, the normal art education is an unavoidable problem in art education, that is, who will teach art? During the guild period, craftsmen taught, and artists taught for some time. Who will be the teacher now? In modern China, the goal orientation and curriculum of these three types of education are not clear; The curriculum of professional colleges is similar to that of normal art education, which mainly teaches techniques such as sketch, color and creation. Use teaching content, curriculum structure, teaching methods and evaluation criteria to train art education teachers in ordinary schools. The proportion of art practice and techniques courses is too large, while the proportion of cultural courses such as art history and art theory is insufficient, which makes students' learning content not meet the requirements of art teaching in primary and secondary schools. Make the normal school into a "small academy of fine arts" and a "small conservatory of music" without reflecting the characteristics of its educational science; Secondly, due to the neglect of general art education, the quality of students in professional art colleges has declined. China art colleges select talents in the form of college entrance examination. Due to the pressure of enrollment rate, art education in primary and secondary schools basically revolves around the baton of college entrance examination. All kinds of attached secondary schools and training courses have become the main mode of art education, while ordinary students basically stop art classes after entering the second and third grades of junior high school. Because the requirements of cultural courses are not high, the art college entrance examination has become the main way to improve the enrollment rate of poor students in cultural courses in most schools, and a vicious circle has formed between them, which has affected the cultivation and growth of professional artistic talents.

Now, the problems existing in China's art education have aroused widespread concern in the art education field, and some people have begun to explore ways to solve the problems. The author thinks that in order to change the present situation of art education and make it develop in the reform, the following problems should be solved: first, clarify the training objectives of different types of art education, and establish different types of art education courses and evaluation systems; Teachers' art education should reflect its normal nature, and the curriculum should focus on art history, art theory, pedagogy, psychology and so on. And the proportion of skill courses should be reduced. The Central Academy of Fine Arts is still forward-looking in the large-scale adjustment of secondary colleges. Comprehensively improve students' comprehensive cultural literacy; It is necessary to advocate general art education. Kindergarten, primary school, junior high school and senior high school should offer art classes, not just a few attached middle schools and training courses, so as to comprehensively improve students' artistic literacy and cultivate outstanding talents for art colleges. Strengthen the training of professional and technical art production talents, focusing on their production techniques, reflecting the characteristics of short-term rapid training. Vocational and technical schools do not need to be on an equal footing with higher vocational colleges, but they can consider providing vocational and technical training for graduates of higher vocational art colleges to improve the employment rate of college graduates and achieve the goal of "win-win". Second, we should go out of the narrow circle of art education itself and advocate the art education model of whole school education. "Art" in the modern sense has already surpassed the traditional connotation. Various technologies (such as sound, light, electricity and multimedia), various materials and media, and various concepts make the combination of art and modern life more and more close. Accepting art education is a spiritual factor to improve the living condition of human beings, rather than just experiencing the illusory happiness brought by material life. Third, advocate socialized art education. At present, school art education is still the main form of education in China. It should be noted that many social institutions have incomparable advantages in school art education, and excellent cultural and artistic resources such as museums, art galleries and concert halls have not been fully utilized; Many institutions pursue economic interests and weaken the function of socialized education. At present, many art galleries hold art lectures regularly and invite famous artists and professors to explain their works of art. What impressed me most is that in the National Museum of China, a group of cultural scholars and experts have served as voluntary lecturers for many years to serve visitors. Although socialized art education has not yet formed the mainstream, it will also be a direction of art education development.

More and more people are paying attention to the reform and development of art education in China, and people have put forward various reform ideas and suggestions. No matter how it develops, China's art education will be a universal cultural education in the future.
