If you remember.
A poem written by Madikin to his parents from a child's perspective-if you can remember it! This poem tells the fundamental law of educating children.

If you remember.

If you can remember, if you take one step, I will take three steps to catch up;

If you can understand, my eyes for observing the world are three feet shorter than yours;

If you can let me try it myself when I like it, instead of pushing me ahead or blocking me behind;

If you can feel my life with love and not deprive me of the need for self-determination,

Then I will grow, learn and change.

If you remember, I need time to get your existing life experience;

If you can understand, I only talk about things that are mature and meaningful to me;

If I can walk alone when I can, instead of pushing me out or pulling me back;

If you can feel my life with your hope and not ruin my feeling of reality,

Then I will grow, learn and change.

If you can remember, like you, I need the courage to try again after failure;

If you can understand, I must find out who I am;

If you can let me find my own way when I want, instead of choosing the way you think I should go for me;

If you can feel my life with your love and don't deprive me of the space to breathe freely,

Then I will grow, learn and change.
