Beijing No.4 Middle School is both a high school and a junior high school. Beijing No.4 Middle School is a public middle school supervised by Beijing Xicheng Education Committee. It was first established in 1907 as Shuntian Middle School, and later renamed Beijing No.4 Middle School in 1949. Beijing No.4 Middle School was recognized as the first batch of exemplary ordinary high schools in Beijing, and resumed junior high school enrollment after merging with Beihai Middle School in 2005. In addition, Beijing No.4 Middle School also has Guangwai Campus and Fuxingmen International Campus, which provide high school education and junior high school education. Beijing Military Management Committee appointed Li to take over Beijing No.4 Middle School. In the same year, the name of the school was also changed to Beijing No.4 Middle School. In 2002, the International Department of Beijing No.4 Middle School was established and began to recruit international students from Japan, South Korea, New Zealand and other countries.
