2. Participate in the formulation of national curriculum standards for basic education;

3. Organize the research and development of experimental teaching materials for basic education;

4. Organize the experimental work and training of basic education curriculum materials;

5. To undertake and organize the evaluation of basic education courses, textbooks, teaching methods and other basic education and teaching fields;

6. Organize the development and research of foreign basic education textbooks, and undertake the international exchange and project cooperation of basic education textbooks; 7. Compile teaching materials reflecting China's culture, history and geography for foreign countries, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions as required.
