In order to further implement the Detailed Rules for the Supervision and Management of Profit-making Private Schools (J.F. [2016] No.20), according to the Provisions on the Administration of Enterprise Name Registration and relevant laws, regulations and normative documents, the relevant work on the management of name registration of profit-making private schools (hereinafter referred to as "private schools") is hereby notified as follows:

Private schools shall be registered as limited liability companies or joint stock limited companies in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Company Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on the Promotion of Private Education, and their names shall conform to the provisions of relevant company registration management and education laws and regulations.

Two, the administrative division and industry description of the name of the private school should be consistent with the location, category and level of the school (see Annex). In line with the conditions prescribed by the state, administrative divisions may not be included. The industry expression of private schools consists of subject category or school-running characteristics plus school category. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the state or industry habits, no subject or school-running characteristics may be added to the name. The industry expressions of private kindergartens, senior middle schools and special education schools shall conform to the laws of education and children's physical and mental development, and shall not contain contents and words that unilaterally emphasize the characteristics of running schools, mislead parents or cause ambiguity.

Three, private schools shall not use the registered school name and its abbreviation, specific title, etc. As a font size, except for investment or authorized by the school, the school abbreviation or specific title is used. If the abbreviation or specific title of the school has other meaning or the direction is not clear, it may not be authorized.

Four, private schools shall not use personal name as the font size, except as otherwise provided by laws, regulations and the State Council decisions.
