What kind of school is an international school?
International school is a new type of school which takes the implementation of international education as its own responsibility, has its own clear purpose, organization and curriculum, and has distinctive school-running style and academic characteristics.

International school, which mainly exists in the secondary education stage, takes the global perspective of international understanding and thinking as its value orientation, features diversified courses and takes bilingual or multilingual teaching as its approach, mainly serving the global floating population and cultivating students' necessary language, knowledge, ability and attitude in the process of globalization.

In recent years, it has developed into a school that can also provide foreign education models for domestic students. Generally speaking, international schools provide secondary education or below, with a considerable proportion of foreign students and a foreign academic system. Although the term "international school" does not appear in the education law of People's Republic of China (PRC) (China), there are still a series of schools that meet the above definition.

The demand for seats in international schools has risen sharply, partly because most international schools in China do not accept foreign students. As more and more foreigners flood into other first-and second-tier cities such as Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou to work, foreign parents have to send their children to international schools.

Courses in international schools:

1. International courses: English as the teaching language. For example, the international diploma organization's pre-university diploma program is a set of strict pre-university international diploma courses. This course requires various exams, which is suitable for the learning needs of high-motivated middle school students aged between 16- 19.

2. National curriculum: Teaching is conducted according to the mother tongue of students from different countries and the national syllabus. The main goal is to enable students to enter their own universities after graduation. At the same time, Chinese and China culture and history as interest courses are also one of their teaching contents.

3. Joint curriculum: adopt a combination of Chinese and Western courses. Although these international schools basically adopt the international teaching mode, their courses are slightly biased towards the teaching of China's language, history and culture, with the main goal of enabling international students to enter European and American universities or China mainland universities after graduation.
