Shenyang Normal University, affiliated to Liaoning Provincial People's Government, was founded in 195 1, formerly known as Northeast Institute of Education, and renamed as shenyang normal College in 1953. It was one of the earliest two undergraduate normal universities in Northeast China at that time. 1965 changed its name to Liaoning first normal college, and 1978 restored the name of shenyang normal college.

In 2000, the school successfully built a new campus, which laid a solid foundation for its development. In 2002, the Liaoning Provincial Government decided and approved by the Ministry of Education, shenyang normal College and Liaoning Education College merged to form Shenyang Normal University. 20 1 1 and 202 1, the Party Committee of our school won the honorary title of "Advanced Grassroots Party Organization" of Liaoning Provincial Committee twice. In recent years, the school has continuously entered the "Shanghai Soft Science" top 200 universities in China.

The school covers an area of 6.5438+0.23 million square meters, with a construction area of 950,000 square meters. There are 20,749 full-time undergraduates, 3,758 graduate students and international students 1 100. There are 26 teaching and personnel training units and 16 schools affiliated libraries, departments, centers, research institutes and affiliated institutions.

There are three Confucius Institutes in Lebanon, Jordan and Ukraine, and Pakistan offers 1 online Chinese classes. Liaoning Basic Education Teaching and Research Training Center, Liaoning Education Administration College, Liaoning Audio-visual Education Museum, Liaoning Paleontology Museum, Liaoning Kindergarten Teacher Training Center and Liaoning Vocational Education Research Institute are all located in our school.
