The placement of freshmen in Peng 'an Middle School is divided into experimental classes and ordinary classes, fast classes and slow classes, English experimental classes and mathematics experimental classes according to their entrance scores or specialties.

Peng 'an Middle School in Sichuan Province is a provincial-level key middle school with fine traditions and school-running characteristics, and it is also the only demonstrative ordinary high school in Sichuan Province in Peng 'an County, located in Jinping Town, a thousand-year-old city in Peng 'an County.
The school was founded in 1926, and was named "Sichuan Peng 'an Middle School" by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education in 1952. In the 1980s and 1990s, it became a key middle school in Nanchong. 1998 was named "Sichuan school spirit model school" and was founded as "Sichuan key middle school" in 2000. From June, 5438 to February, 2002, it successfully passed the acceptance of "Sichuan Model Ordinary High School". In March, 2004, it was founded as "Sichuan Model Experimental Teaching School for Primary and Secondary Schools" and is now "Sichuan Model Secondary Ordinary High School".
The school covers an area of 230 mu with a building area of 78,000m2.
