Main responsibilities:

(two) responsible for the overall planning and coordinated management of basic education, special education, vocational education, ethnic education, private education and higher education in the city. Guide the transformation of education and teaching in the city, and be responsible for the statistics, analysis and release of basic education information. To study and put forward opinions and suggestions on the transformation and development of education in the whole city, and be responsible for guiding the comprehensive transformation of education in the whole city. To guide and coordinate the education work of counties (districts) and relevant departments.
(three) responsible for promoting the balanced development of compulsory education and educational equity, implementing the basic requirements of basic education and teaching, and implementing quality education.
(four) responsible for the transformation and development of vocational education, the implementation of vocational education directory, teaching guidance and teaching evaluation standards, coordinate the development of general education and vocational education. Take the lead in building a learning society.
(five) to participate in the formulation of policies and management measures for raising education funds, education funding, education fees and student financial assistance; Responsible for the overall management of the city's education funds; Responsible for supervising the management and use of the city's education funds; Responsible for the management of student financial assistance in the city.
(six) to guide the moral education, sports health art education and national defense education of all kinds of schools at all levels in the city. Responsible for campus football work.
(seven) to be responsible for the work of teachers in the city, to implement the national standards on the qualifications of teachers at all levels, and to be responsible for the construction of the education system.
(eight) responsible for the school enrollment plan, entrance examination and educational administration.
(nine) responsible for the party building work of the city's education system. Organize foreign exchanges and cooperation in management education with relevant departments.
(ten) responsible for the implementation of the national language work principles, policies, plans, norms and standards, to guide the promotion of Putonghua.
(eleven) responsible for the stability and education of schools in the city, and cooperate with relevant departments to deal with emergencies. Cooperate with relevant departments to do a good job in comprehensive management of campus and surrounding environment and school bus management.
(twelve) responsible for guiding the logistics service guarantee and management of primary and secondary schools; To guide the work of social organizations such as the Education Society.
(thirteen) responsible for education supervision, responsible for organizing and guiding the supervision and inspection, evaluation and acceptance and quality control of secondary and below secondary education. Undertake the daily work of the Education Steering Committee.
