Impression of Havana: Just like a simple and beautiful girl
Although my recent trip to Havana was short, it left an unforgettable impression on me. In my eyes, Havana is like a beautiful girl dressed simply. Although I don't deliberately dress up, I naturally show my moving style.

The scenery in Havana is very beautiful. The endless blue waves of the Caribbean under the blue sky and white clouds, together with the tall banyan trees and kapok trees with fiery red flowers in the city, especially the towering palm trees of the "National Tree", and the quaint green spaces shaded by green grass, all constitute a picturesque artistic conception, which makes people dream of it and linger.

Havana is full of rich cultural atmosphere. The Old Town 1982 has been listed as a human cultural heritage by UNESCO and is the pride of the Cuban people. The old city of Havana, built in 15 19, still preserves a large number of ancient buildings left over from colonial times. There are the oldest castles in Latin America, armed castles, Christian churches rebuilt by 1638, and Havana Cathedral, which is a model of baroque architecture. Weapons Square is located in the place where the foundation stone was laid when the old city was first built, next to the colonial governor's residence. Soldiers stationed in the castle are used to practicing in the square, hence the name "Weapons Square". The old city of Havana has preserved many historical sites, which are also outstanding in Latin America. Despite the poor economic conditions, the Cuban government has made great efforts to protect the ancient buildings in the old city of Havana. It can be seen that many historical sites have been or are being renovated.

In a square in the old city, a performance group is performing the street drama "Wandering Giant". It turns out that they are raising money to repair the ancient buildings in the old city. In order to protect the wealth of their city, citizens have made conscious contributions.

On the other side of the square, there is a huge book market. Many people who love books and reading wander among them. It seems that there are many people who love books in Havana, which reflects the cultural literacy and education level of this nation from one side.

The achievements of Cuban education are obvious to all. Since the victory of the revolution, the Cuban government has been implementing the policy of free and compulsory education. From primary school to university is free. Even under very difficult economic conditions, we have always insisted on doing so. The enrollment rate of school-age children in Cuba reached 100%, 95% in junior high school and 98% in senior high school. Nearly 85% of high school graduates can go to universities or colleges for further study. According to the research report issued by UNESCO, the quality of education in Cuba ranks among the best in Latin America. Along the way, Comrade Ulla of Granma, who accompanied us, kept pointing out: This is the University of Havana, and there is a middle school ... After a few days, I got the impression that in addition to schools, the most buildings in Havana are hospitals. For decades, Cuba has been implementing free medical care for all. We still insist on implementing this system. Cuba's medical network covers urban and rural areas throughout the country. Even a sugar cane production cooperative we visited has its own clinic. Members can receive treatment for free. The medical level in Cuba is also quite high. Almeheilas Hospital, which stands beside the seaside avenue in Havana, has advanced medical equipment and medical level in the world, and can perform many difficult operations such as heart, kidney and brain cell transplantation.

The Cuban government also attaches great importance to scientific research. Havana Biological Products Research Center was established in 1986 under the personal care of President Castro, and has achieved many international scientific research achievements and become a scientific research institution in the world.

Cuba also has a fairly high level of sports and literature and art. During our short stay in Havana, fencing and baseball were held here at the same time. And Cuba has a good performance in these projects. Havana is also famous for its tropical song and dance performances. Latin dance and music with national characteristics bring satisfactory enjoyment to the guests.

The numerous museums in Havana are also a major factor in forming the cultural atmosphere of the city. There are many art treasures from China, South Korea, Japan and other Asian countries in the Asian Museum on a small street in the old city. The most famous museum in Havana is probably Hemingway Museum. The museum is located in Vicia Manor, which was purchased and lived by Hemingway, an American writer and Nobel Prize in Literature winner. The museum keeps the original appearance of the former residence. It seems that the writer still lives here, but only goes out temporarily.

Cuba is a small country, only more than 200 kilometers away from the United States. Over the past 40 years, Cuba has persevered under the blockade of the United States, overcome difficulties and persisted in taking the socialist road. This spirit is really commendable. Cuba still faces economic difficulties due to the American blockade. It is true that the Cuban people are not rich materially, but I feel that the Cuban people are rich spiritually.
