What does Du Yue Zhiyuan do?
2 1 century is a century of development and innovation, and the characteristics of middle school students are the diversity of ideas and values. What kind of education view and talent view do you need? How to tap students' potential and improve their academic performance? What kind of new educational path should be created? The exploration of the teaching reform of "enjoying reading and pursuing Excellence" in Changsha No.7 Middle School has taken a remarkable new path.

It is understood that the school hired Professor Nie, Ambassador of China District of the International Camp Education Association, as a special consultant to guide the comprehensive exploration of the "reading distance" education reform, and to explore the high school education reform with the core concept of "rising" [note: reading, independence, service and experience] combined with camp activities. It aims to lay a lifelong foundation for students to become talents, help them cultivate the abilities needed by the future society, plant the seeds of a happy life for students, lead them to be good, and cultivate their lofty outlook on life and sense of social mission.

In the past three years, around the core concept of "Rise", the school has established teaching reform classes in all grades, conducted all-round exploration, insisted on student-centered design education, persisted in organizing education with teams as the core, persisted in sharing and reflection, explored liberal arts teaching of "big reading-big discussion-big writing", explored the combination of camp education concept and school education, explored democratic and independent management of classes, and explored experiential learning and service learning.

The educational reform of "reading more and learning more" has aroused great concern in society. More than 30 schools inside and outside the province came to the school for exchanges; Tang Yining, a student in the reform class, was admitted to the World Union College (UWC) (Changshu, China) with a full scholarship; Li Jiangnan and other students participated in the final of the National English Skills Competition and won the third prize of the national team; Teachers and students from No.7 Middle School were invited to participate in the Graduate Forum of Harvard University School of Education.
