What have we neglected in middle school education?
In the secondary education of the middle school affiliated to Youshi University in China, we have always emphasized the responsibility and role of teachers. It is undeniable that teachers are the motive force of educational activities and play a powerful role in promoting the development of the whole educational process. However, the healthy growth of students is the result of the joint action of school and family education. Simply emphasizing the role of teachers will ignore the key role of parents in children's growth. This situation often occurs in middle school education. Some students are excellent in all aspects, and the teacher is just the guide. In some parts of the problem children, the school situation is constantly changing, and no matter what way teachers take, they can't fundamentally change the growth state of students. The root cause is family education. Who is to blame? Our parents. As the saying goes, "Like father, like son". When children make mistakes, parents should first reflect on themselves. Before middle school, there are several important stages of education. If we pay too much attention to the details of children's growth and ignore the long-term and critical nature of education, it will lead to the lack of children's ability and literacy in all aspects, and naturally we will not reach our expected goals or levels. From kindergarten to university, children's living and learning environment is constantly changing. Only when they have good quality can they adapt to various environments and grow up healthily. Regardless of whether the purpose is utilitarian education for children, the most important thing is to put aside utilitarian heart and comparison heart. Utilitarianism means that as a parent or teacher, after paying, you must get the corresponding reward. If a child must score more than a few points in each subject, where must the total score be ranked? The more you yearn for the result and ignore the process, the less you gain, and it backfires. The heart of comparison is why other children can get a lot of points in the exam, but you can't. As everyone knows, such a utilitarian and competitive heart is enough to hurt children's self-confidence and prevent them from being promoted and developed in other aspects. We should treat children with peace of mind. Give children the help, guidance and necessary criticism they deserve, and let them grow up in a natural and caring state. No matter where they go in the future, they can withstand the wind and rain and be independent. Attitude is everything. Some people say that there are no students who can't learn, only teachers who can't teach. I want to say that there is no knowledge that can't be learned, only students who don't want to learn. A serious attitude is the foundation of all success. All the subjects that middle school students need to learn are not very difficult and not very professional. As long as they have a correct attitude, they will have a good ending. Without a good attitude, all this stems from a lack of self-confidence. If you pay too much attention to your child's test scores and criticize blindly, it will lead to children's lack of interest in learning knowledge, confusion and hesitation all day, and even have to cheat in order to get high marks. We need to help children build self-confidence, realize their own shortcomings, face difficulties and be brave in challenges. Keeping full of energy and enthusiasm for learning is the key. No matter what bumps and difficulties you encounter, you must have a sunny attitude. So what we say and do has a great influence on children. If we choose encouragement, children will be full of confidence. If you choose to help, the child will be full of courage; If you choose to scold, the child will fall into endless troubles and have no happiness at all. Which child would like such a study life? Third, the habit of classifying and querying future periodical articles lies in the old saying in the periodical library: "Learning comes from thinking", and Confucius said: "Learning without thinking is useless, thinking without learning is dangerous", which means that learning must use your brain to think, and without thinking, there is no gain. Our children are used to passively accepting knowledge, even if the teacher has explained the knowledge points many times, they can't understand and master them, and they can't use them flexibly after understanding them. The reason lies in being lazy to think. We should encourage and support children to develop the habit of independent thinking, and everything will get twice the result with half the effort. It is the best policy to let children learn to do it themselves and use their brains. Four concentration parents often worry about their children's study, but they don't know that it is because their children can't concentrate on listening, that is, they lack concentration. The sensitive period of cultivating children's concentration is early childhood, but many children have lost the opportunity to cultivate. There are many ways to cultivate children's concentration, and the specific implementation methods are not the same. Parents can take appropriate and effective measures according to their children's personality characteristics to train and cultivate their children's concentration in a planned and purposeful way. "Interest is the best teacher." When children are curious about toys, books and games, and actively participate in them, or even repeat some actions repeatedly, it shows that children are generating strong interest. This is the best time to cultivate concentration, that is, to give children freedom and let them do it. However, we are often tired of boring and repetitive games or stories and rudely interrupt them. Slowly, children are no longer interested in similar games, and they lose the best opportunity to cultivate their concentration. 5 Creativity and Imagination Students are under great pressure to learn, and after completing all subjects, they have little time to further learn knowledge. Passive learning, lack of autonomy, and serious lack of creativity and imagination. According to statistics, the creativity and imagination of primary and secondary school students in China ranks last among 2 1 countries. Respect children's independent opinions and opinions. You can't judge a child's work by its likeness. Creativity and imagination are only small buds at first. If we can take care of them and give them the affirmation and support they deserve, one day, creativity and imagination will grow rapidly and bear fruit. "Don't step, not Wan Li road. If you don't accumulate a small stream, you can't become a sea. " Creating a relaxed environment for children is conducive to cultivating imagination and creativity and releasing children's great learning potential. Face up to problems, forget failures and rebuild confidence. Excessive criticism is bound to hit children's self-esteem and self-confidence and make them lose the courage to face life. What many parents do is to ignore it at ordinary times. As soon as they see the anxious exam results, they get angry with their children and lose their temper, and they will let it go. Our expectations and requirements should not be greater than children's abilities. It is far more important for children to learn to be human and cultivate their ability in the process of learning and growing up than their academic performance. Seven mental health We often pay attention to children's academic performance and ignore their mental health. Middle school students in the budding period of youth are under great pressure of study and are in a sub-health state psychologically. Schools have an unshirkable responsibility in healthy psychological education. But in the end, children with unhealthy psychology often have family problems, such as single-parent families, and the relationship between parents is not harmonious ... So parents should be strict and give their children warmth and care, and the two are not contradictory. Don't expect to put too much pressure on children, let them learn to combine work and rest and use their brains scientifically; Encourage children to participate in extracurricular activities and broaden their interests; Communicate with children more and properly handle the relationship with children. The reason why we talk about this issue here is that education is the responsibility of both schools and families. Public opinion often pushes middle school teachers and parents to the opposite side. In fact, both sides have the same responsibility. At school, teachers are parents. At home, parents can also be teachers.
