The main responsibilities of the Education Bureau:

1. Fully implement the educational principles, policies and regulations of the Party and the state, study and formulate specific principles and policies for ethnic education, and organize their implementation.

2, study and formulate the national education development plan and annual development plan, formulate the focus, scale, speed and steps of education development, organize, guide and coordinate the implementation of the national education development plan, annual plan, education system reform and school-running system reform.

3, responsible for the national basic education (including preschool education), special education, vocational and technical education, after-school education, adult education, higher education (including social forces running schools), coordination, guidance and supervision of the education work of districts, counties (townships) and relevant departments.

4, responsible for the construction of national teachers and education administrative cadres, responsible for the national primary and secondary school principals qualification; Participate in the formulation of relevant policies and rules and regulations on personnel management in the national education system; Guide the reform of education and personnel system, and organize the implementation of employment distribution for graduates of normal universities.

Office of Education Bureau, Policy and Regulation Research Office, Personnel Office and Finance Office:

1, office

Responsible for the comprehensive coordination of important party affairs, government affairs and bureau affairs; Responsible for drafting the work plan of the Education Bureau, summarizing and synthesizing relevant written materials; Responsible for the organization and arrangement of Party committees, executive meetings, director's office meetings, bureau-level important meetings and the supervision of matters agreed at the meetings.

2, policies and regulations, scientific research management office

To be responsible for the research on the comprehensive reform and development strategy of national education and conduct policy research on major issues; Planning and drafting local education laws, regulations and policies; Responsible for the legal publicity, education administrative law enforcement supervision and administrative reconsideration of the national education department. The Office of the National Leading Group for Educational Science Planning is located in the Policy and Regulation Research Management Office and is in charge of the national educational science research.

3. Personnel Department

Responsible for personnel management, teacher rotation, commendation, rewards and punishments, and personnel management system reform in the national education system; Responsible for teacher qualification certification; To be responsible for the appointment, removal and filing of departmental level cadres of bureaus and directly affiliated units; Responsible for the adjustment and management of the establishment of ethnic primary and secondary schools.

4. Accounting Department

To formulate relevant policies and regulations on the management and financing of education funds in conjunction with relevant departments; Statistics and monitoring the implementation of national education funds and plans; Manage and supervise the use of all kinds of special funds allocated by the state, the province and the state, as well as education loans, education fund-raising, donations, teacher incentive funds and other projects.
