Give children wings of dreams.
Have you ever heard the dream of a child in your arms and a student in front of you? Not every child can have such a vision and hope for the future. In rural areas, lack of resources and family disability have caused inherent unfairness. Many children don't have enough to eat and wear, and even "grow up well" is a luxury, let alone a dream. Over the years, many resources have been invested in rural areas, such as life care, academic guidance, and life companionship. What do children really need?

?

Ye Bingcheng: I have expectations for my children and give them wings of dreams.

Ye Bingcheng, a professor of electrical engineering at National Taiwan University who promotes flip education, said that these resources are indispensable, but he believes that the longest-term influence that educators can give rural children is to equip them with the wings of dreams.

Because of family disability and cultural weakness, many children from rural areas are considered to be weak in learning before entering school, and their standards are silently lowered on the way to school. Congenital lack, coupled with acquired lack, makes rural children always copy the "weak" single setting.

Ye Bingcheng believes that when learning, you must have expectations for your children and find a learning method that suits you. On the other hand, it is necessary to open children's horizons and let them see a bigger place in society, a more interesting world and more people with careers and shapes. Let children believe that you can do it through hard work; Let your children know that there are many possibilities in your future, as long as you have the courage to dream.

Educators not only teach children the knowledge of national English numbers, but also equip children who dare not dream with dream wings. Because they dare to dream, it is possible for children to rewrite the single script of "homesickness is doomed to poverty and misery".

Su Wenyu: Making children fall in love with their hometown is the base of their dreams.

Dare to dream, not only need to see the vast world, but also need to have a sense of belonging to the land where you grew up.

Four years ago, Su Wenyu, a professor of capital engineering in national cheng kung university, took his graduate students to Chiayi to design a course, hoping that children in their hometown could connect with the world through programming skills.

"As long as you know the programming language, your children can start a business or get a job in their hometown in the future, and you don't have to live far from home. 」

Later, it was discovered that there are only a few children who can make a living by learning programming. At the same time, it is also found that "children have no feelings and recognition for their hometown, but they just want to leave their hometown if they have the ability, so they can only miss home forever." Su Wenyu's introspection, more important than skill, is his concern for life and environment. So, from the end of 20 16, he not only continued the course design, but also launched the "Seeing Hometown-Aerial Photography Plan for Hometown Children" with a group of teachers and adult college students who are committed to rural education, and took the children to re-understand their hometown from a completely different perspective with aerial cameras.

Over the past year, many children have seen different hometowns, discovered the beauty of their hometowns, aroused their connection with the land and their feelings for their hometowns, and even looked for blueprints for their future dreams. "When he really loves his hometown and has the ability, he may not leave, but he will choose to stay here and continue to work hard. Su Wenyu talked about the changes that these children may bring when they grow up.

Huang Yasheng: Real companionship and care, caring for small dreams.

Huang Yasheng, the younger generation, also saw the need to be homesick, but he chose another way, directly going to the community to unite the strength of the community, taking care of the children in the community, stabilizing their lives and studies, accompanying them to grow up bit by bit, and caring for the bud of every dream.

?

After graduating from college, Huang Yasheng returned to Shi 'an Community in Houhai District of Tainan City. He originally wanted to go back to his hometown to take over his father's job. After several visits to community primary schools to help, he found that the problems faced by children now are more serious than when he was a child. These children have no family support, and after-school care and study time are blank.

Huang Yasheng resolutely opened his own door, cooperated with Taiwan Province Dream Project of China Trust Charity Foundation, and became the dream base of Taiwan Province Province, so that these eager children could have a place to do their homework after class, and brought more community manpower, college students nearby Tainan Art College and other resources. By using the concept of "co-education in the same village", he established a community safety network to make up for the shortcomings caused by the family disability of disadvantaged children and let the children in the community get close to their mothers, teenagers and neighbors.

Since 102, Shi 'an Community has been very different from the past. Huang Yasheng hopes that this experience can be shared and spread, so as to take care of more children in neighboring communities.

Paying attention to education is never only for our children or students to have a bright future and ultimate hope, but also for a "common and beautiful" environment-so that "every child" can find a suitable education and develop their talents through education, regardless of their origins.

On the road of children's growth, there are too many reasons that will affect their development and success or failure. Some people choose to invest in their hometown, charge for education first, and strive to turn over; Some people choose to train teachers to cultivate greater turnover for education. These people are trying to make the educational environment better. No matter where you are, what majors and resources you have, as long as you are willing to flip your existing thinking, take a small step of innovation and see different needs, we may all become a part of making the educational environment better and promoting change!
