Ssci (Index of Social Science Publications) refers to the affiliation of periodicals in SSCI database. Ssci (Social Science Index) has two branches, one is JCR and the other is Chinese Academy of Sciences. These two divisions are very similar, both of which are four divisions, and the standards of division are also the influencing factors of periodicals. Chinese Academy of Sciences also divides journals into four regions, but different from JCR, the regions of Chinese Academy of Sciences are pyramid-shaped with different proportions. China Academy of Sciences has a pyramid structure, and the number of periodicals in 1~4 area accounts for 5%, 15%, 30% and 50% of the total periodicals in this discipline respectively. It can be seen that the number of journals in CAS 1 region is very small, and they are basically top journals in this field, with high "gold content".
