Taizhou Vocational and Technical College is a junior college. Taizhou Vocational and Technical College was established with the approval of the former State Education Commission. It is one of the first batch of 14 full-time higher vocational and technical colleges in China, the first college named "Vocational and Technical College" in Jiangsu Province and the first ordinary college in Taizhou. The school belongs to Taizhou Municipal People's Government, and its history can be traced back to Taizhou Medical College (later renamed Taizhou Health School) established by 1958. 1In June, 1985, three industrial bureaus merged to establish Taizhou Staff University,1In March, 1998, Taizhou Vocational and Technical College was established. In August 2000, Taizhou Health School was integrated into Taizhou Vocational College. The school is now a model higher vocational college in Jiangsu Province, and it is the construction unit of characteristic higher vocational colleges in Jiangsu Province, China.
