Sichuan Normal University (referred to as Sichuan Normal University) is a key university in Sichuan Province and one of the key universities in the national "Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in the Midwest". It was selected into the "Double First-class" construction plan of Sichuan Province and the "201Plan" and "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" of Sichuan Province.
The school is located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, with Li Xiangcheng, Party Secretary, and Wang Mingyi, President. The school motto is "dedication, erudition, pragmatism and beauty".
As of June 2022, the school has established Lion Mountain Campus and Jackie Chan Campus. At present, there are 26 colleges, 2 postdoctoral mobile stations, 7 first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, 26 first-class disciplines authorized by master's degrees, 14 categories authorized by master's degrees, and 73 undergraduate majors, covering arts, science, engineering, philosophy, etc.1kloc-0/disciplines.
The school was founded in 1946, and its birth has a direct historical origin with Northeastern University. In the early days of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Northeastern University moved to Santai County, Sichuan Province. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Northeastern University moved back to Shenyang, where teachers and students from Liuchuan founded the North Sichuan College of Agriculture and Industry. After North Sichuan University and Sichuan Normal University, 1985, Sichuan Normal University was renamed Sichuan Normal University.
