The People's Public Security University of China was established in July, 1948. Its predecessor was North China Public Security Cadre School, Central Public Security Cadre School, Central People's Public Security College and Central Political and Legal Cadre School. 1984 was transformed into a full-time ordinary college and the Chinese People's Public Security University was established.
