Different goals
Children's self-awareness education activities aim to help children know and understand themselves and cultivate their self-esteem, self-confidence and independence. Other social education activities may pay more attention to cultivating children's cooperative spirit and teamwork ability.
Different methods
Children's self-awareness education activities usually adopt interactive games, painting creation, role-playing, etc., so that children can feel and understand "who am I" and "what are my characteristics" through participating in the experience. Other social education activities can take the form of lectures, demonstrations or practical operations.
Different contents
Children's self-awareness education includes physical cognition, emotional expression, gender cognition and interpersonal skills. Other social education contents involve a wider range of fields, such as language communication skills, cultural inheritance, environmental literacy and so on.
There is a difference in time schedule.
Because preschool is one of the most critical periods for children's growth and development, scientific planning should be carried out according to age characteristics and the principle of moderation should be followed when carrying out various social education. In contrast, children's self-awareness education should be actively advocated from an early age and run through the whole preschool stage.
