The essence of thinking is simply to find problems and find solutions. But the same thing, because of different ways of thinking, the final result is different. Why are students with similar enrollment bases different after graduation? Why do some people only pay attention to the immediate, near and recent content, while others can plan for a long time and control the overall situation from a macro perspective? Of course, we will encounter many problems and puzzles in our life and work. Maybe you can find the answer from the book Deep Thinking.
Deep thinking includes many aspects, and I will focus on three aspects to talk about my feelings.
1. Reshape the logical chain of thinking and dig the root of things.
People who don't have deep thinking ability usually have a short logical thinking chain and can't find out the deep-seated reasons of the problem. So, how do we reshape the logical chain of thinking? The book introduces two methods:
The first is the "5WHY thinking method", that is, the five "why" thinking methods. In the face of a question, at least five whys should be asked, which is the "5WHY thinking method". The essence of "5WHY thinking method" is to trace the source of existing problems and solve them from the source by asking "why". This is to extend the logical thinking chain by tracing the reasons forward.
The corrosion of the east wall of a museum is very serious, and the paint needs to be refreshed frequently. On this day, the curator of the museum found that the wall was seriously corroded and needed to be repainted. He made five thoughts and doubts about this matter: why is the wall corroded? Because of bird droppings, corrosive cleaners must be used; Why is there bird droppings on the wall? Because there are spiders on the wall, and birds eat spiders; Why are there spiders on the wall? Because there are many bugs on the wall, spiders feed on them. Why are there many bugs on the wall? Because there are several windows in the east wall, at night, the light in the museum will come out from here, and these phototactic insects are attracted by the light. Therefore, the correct way to solve the problem should be to install thick curtains at the window and close them before sunset every day, so that the problem can be completely solved. It can be seen that the extension of thinking logic chain is an important manifestation of thinking depth.
The second method is, if we are faced with something that hasn't happened yet, how can we infer reversely and extend the thinking chain? Author Ye Xiu put forward "5SO thinking method" through the mirror image principle. This method requires us to ask "so" and "so" as much as possible in the pre-judgment, and make inferences and judgments constantly to get the most favorable pre-judgment.
When students violate discipline or have unsatisfactory grades in the exam, worrying and complaining blindly can't solve any problems, and it may get worse. Teachers should control their emotions, calmly find out the causes of students' mistakes and think about solutions according to the problems.
Second, put yourself in another angle.
If you want to look at something from the perspective of others, you must have some common understanding with others on this matter. When several people are chatting together, some topics are heated because everyone has enough experience and cognition on this topic, while some topics can't be inserted in a word just because of the lack of such common cognition.
? What we call empathy in education is actually "empathy". Empathy, also called empathy, mainly refers to the ability of teachers to put themselves in the students' shoes and empathize with them in the process of teacher-student communication. In the educational management of students, if teachers deal with problems in an empathetic way, conflicts between teachers and students may be avoided to the greatest extent. For example, if teachers only observe the problem of students' learning procrastination from the perspective of adults, they will think that this is a bad habit formed by students for a long time, or that students are not enthusiastic and active about learning. However, if teachers can put themselves in their own shoes and think of themselves as growing students, they can put themselves in the students' shoes: lack of learning ability, lack of learning experience, unskilled learning skills, lack of organization and planning in learning, and urging by adults (urging by adults will make children flustered, thus doing things more slowly), which may be the real reason behind procrastination. Only when teachers understand the real causes of students' problems can they treat and deal with them from the students' point of view. Therefore, when we can consider problems from the standpoint of students, we can go into the hearts of students and put forward targeted and effective suggestions for them. Education will get twice the result with half the effort
3. Slow is fast, and concentration is the best choice.
In the fourth quarter of the last chapter of this book, the author gives readers a spiritual totem-Sima Yi in the Three Kingdoms period, who has the ambition to achieve his career. After Battle of Red Cliffs, he seized the opportunity to introduce himself to Cao Cao, hoping to win fame. It's a pity that Cao Cao is too smart and cautious. He thinks Sima Yi is too clever and needs to be on guard. Keep holding him down, use his talent and ability, and don't let him take the upper position. If senior officials don't do it, the military power is not allowed. But Sima Yi is clever, and he has a good grasp of the general trend. Based on the current strength of the three countries, he calculated that Cao Cao could not pacify the world in his lifetime, so he immediately began to select people from Cao Cao's next generation to assist him. He has a good eye for people and chose the right person from the beginning-Cao Pi. However, Cao Pi abided by Cao Cao's last instructions and used Sima Yi while guarding against Sima Yi, but Sima Yi couldn't bear it, forbearing Cao Cao and then Cao Pi. The tragedy happened again. Before he died, Xelloss, like his father Cao Cao, told his next successor, Cao Rui. Not only did Cao Rui feel uneasy about him, but Cao Xiu, Cao Zhen and Cao Shuang, the sons of these leaves, also made things difficult for him, and tried every means to exclude and frame him. It was not until 249, when Sima Yi was 70 years old, that an insignificant little opportunity appeared: Cao Shuang led hundreds of officials to accompany Emperor Cao Fang out of the city to visit the grave, and the capital was empty. In Chapter 8, Thinking about the Art of War, it is mentioned that it is impossible to win, which is such a small opportunity. Sima Yi arrived, understood and seized it. The mutiny successfully overthrew Cao Shuang's control, took control of Beijing's political power and realized his lifelong ambition. Even if all the advantages are put together, Sima Yi lived for nearly 50 years, focused on one field for decades, and finally survived all the enemies and finally had a chance to turn over. Sima Yi's story tells us that fate can still play you like this, even if you keep working hard in the most correct way. But fate can't consume time in the end. In the long years, a little negligence of fate will give you a chance to achieve yourself. Focusing on one thing for a long time seems inefficient, and life is slow and not exciting enough. But for ordinary people, the best strategy to train deep thinking is to concentrate, find a correct direction, and concentrate on doing one thing well. So, slow is fast. Concentration is the best choice.
In fact, the book also talks about visual thinking, process thinking, ecological thinking, system thinking, general trend thinking and art of war thinking. Every kind of thinking can bring help to our real life, work and study. It allows you to look at problems from a higher and broader perspective and solve problems in a deeper and more ingenious way. The book says, "You and I were both born in the game of fate, but who will die in the cage". If we want to break the dilemma of life's fate, we need more in-depth thinking to help us break through the bottleneck and cross the gap.
